Tien Sha Pai, a Northern Kung Fu style that provides correct body alignment, agility and strength. Learn how Kung Fu can give you flexibility, endurance and coordination while learning the fundamentals of a traditional and powerful martial art. You will learn the 10 basic stretching exercises, stances, punches and kicks in an intense but fun workout. You will learn self defense, gain confidence and feel more energetic. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing and sneakers, bring a towel, water and your enthusiasm.

Martial arts are extensive systems of codified practices and traditions of combat that are practiced for a variety of reasons, including self-defense, competition, physical health and fitness, as well as mental, physical and spiritual development. The term martial art has become heavily associated with the fighting arts of eastern Asia, but was originally used in regard to the combat systems of Europe as early as the 1550s. An English fencing manual of 1639 used the term in reference specifically to the "Science and Art" of swordplay. The term is ultimately derived from Latin, martial arts being the "Arts of Mars," the Roman god of war. Some martial arts are considered 'traditional' and tied to an ethnic, or cultural background, while others are modern systems developed either by a founder or an association.

We are moving to the Priceton area (West Windsor) in December 07. My son is coming off a terrible year in a California school and rather than put him into the West Windsor school, I would rather boost his confidence and have him homeschooled for the rest of the year (5th grade). I am interested in finding a teacher that would help me with this endeavor. I am also fluent in French and have taught at the Community College level. Though I will be working full time, I would be happy to tutor a class in French a couple of nights durng the week or on weekends.

A Christian Book for Kids with a Pirate Cover?
Absolutely!
You will be proud to recommend: Caribbean Capers (0964340720)
Take a look at our reasons.
 Written by Christians, for Christian kids.
 Attractive cover for today's kids
 Deals with temptation, forgiveness, and multicultural friendship
 Christianity is not preached, but is practiced in the adventure.
 It's timely, schools are currently facing their difficulties with bullies.
 It's a good book to use for gifts by Christians to non-Christian children
 It is wholesome. The lead characters have good family relations, recommend prayer in tight situations, and belong to a church. There is no overt teaching; but Christianity is treated as normal, desirable, and acceptable.
Tricked into partnering with a ring of boat thieves, Sam’s future looks dim. But as his classmate, Buzz, and visiting mainlander, Brian, unravel the mystery of their stolen dinghy, they help Sam escape the evil trap. Together the three friends then unite to rescue a small boy from kidnappers and prevent the theft of a US nuclear submarine.
Caribbean Capers is marketed by Ingram (parent distributor of Spring Arbor) and is in most major bookstores and by the National Park Service.

Teaching with Picture Books at http://www.squidoo.com/teachingwithpicturebooks is a sister site which is static; it offers several reasons why picture books should be used daily, especially with upper primary and middle grades.
