We are an active group of homeschoolers, dedicated to offering support to all families who need it. We focus on activities of older kids as well, including teen dances, picnics, etc.

I am a homeschooling parent of a High School Sophmore organizing a turorial program that does NOT have a purely Christian emphasis. Though raised in a Christian church, I am not interested in always teaching subjects and/or discussing issues from any one perspective, Christian or otherwise. (The idea that we operate with here at home is that Divinity is too wonderfully expansive to fit under the umbrella of just one religious tradition!)

If no such option exists, I would be interested in organizing one with a varitey of classes. (World History? World Literature? International Human Rights? Planetary Stewardship? A Great Books tutorial? While not solely Christian, I am interested in approaching a curriculum with an emphasis on peace and justice and faith in action...) We would also need a HS math teacher, science teacher, some test prep etc. Please contact me if you're either an interested homeschooling family or tutor!

We have two children ages of 7 and 4. I have been formally home educating since our oldest was 5 but as we all know we begin home educating from birth. We own a sandwich shop in Nashville called Roly Poly Sandwiches and Richard has a full time sales job. We have been in Columbia since January of this year and would like to get better connected to the home school community here.

Latin, Greek, Humanities teachers would like to work with a classical homeschool group, or do private tutoring. My husband and I are both teachers who have studied at St. John\\\'s Graduate Institute, a Great Books classical liberal arts program. We have taught college Literature and Composition, and I am teaching High School Latin in the fall at Goodpasture Academy. We are moving to Pleasant View this fall (2006), and are now checking into our options as teachers. My husband would especially like to teach Ancient or Biblical Greek.

I have a degree in music from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse and have played in various orchestras, string quartets, chamber strings, quartets, and jazz ensembles as well as touring and recording. I've been a dedicated educator for over 8 years teaching private and group lessons, coaching youth symphonies, highschool ensembles, and tutoring students in music theory.

My objective is to provide students with a quality musical foundation in which they learn good technique, music theory, and most importantly, a love for music. I am experienced in teaching students of all ages and abilities, including special needs children.

My teaching approach includes traditional and/or Suzuki methods with an emphasis on classical and improvisation. I tailor my approach to the needs of each student, their learning styles, and individual musical goals.

I have been a teacher for 20 plus years. I am currently working on my masters degree. I taught middle school math and science. I homeschooled my three children for 5 years. I have tutored elementary and middle school age students in math. I am looking for an opportunity to use my skills with homeschooled families. I am currently available in the evenings and on Saturdays.
