Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Music Therapy from the University of Georgia. Available Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00am to 5:00pm. Studio consists of Basic Beginners to Advance. Classes focuses on Basic playing techniques and understanding of good sound production on playing style chosen. Suzuki (ear-training) and Traditional (note-reading) teaching is available based on personal needs. Teaching various styles from Fiddle, Spiritual, Jazz, to Classic. Crown Athletics is a not-for-profit athletic association created for the benefit of home educated students living in the north metro area of Atlanta, Georgia. I am planning to homeschool my 11-year-old daughter (sixth grade) next year. I am a reading specialist, M.Ed., with 10 years teaching experience, but I haven't taught for 20 years. We live in Atlanta, near the Moores Mill exit off of I-75. I would like to find other homeschooling children to study with Joy on a regular or occasional basis, school students who are interested in an afternoon study program, and events and activities in the area for homeschooled students.

I would like to offer the users of this site (home-schoolers and teachers, etc.)in the North Hall County, and Southern White County areas my services as a tutor for "Basis Map and Compass Reading", "Beginners Drafting" (manual and Acad), and "Airplanes and Aviation". I am in the Gainesville, GA area and am willing to tutor individuals and groups. I have all the necessary resources for each subject. My background includes a 31-year career with the US Forest Service (Engineering & Recreation Staff, Facilities and Geometronics) Chattahoochee & Oconee National Forests, recently retired; Architectural-Civil-Mechanical drawing since 1968; and private pilot since 1970. I have presented my subjects at local middle schools and I'd like to share this information with you. I am located at Kimberwick Place, 4147 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, GA., however, I am willing to travel to your location as well.

For 2008-09, would consider adding another child or siblings to our preschool / kindergarten life for a few hours a week in some of these learning areas: math games, writing (Handwriting Without Tears trained), swimming, Spanish; possible carpool to such outside activities as dance, music/drama, gymnastics. Can swap for time in your home school or an hourly rate. Elementary age OK too.
